Anara Publishing are delighted to announce their latest signing Dornik. Self-termed “electronic soul” artist Dornik emerged in the early 2010s as one of the most unique and promising voices in R&B, starting out in the band TURTL alongside Alfa Mist, Junior Alli-Balogun and Rocco Palladino. This led to joining the backing band for Jessie Ware, before making his solo debut in 2013 with the release of “Something About You”.
His self-titled debut album arrived in 2015, picking up comparisons to the likes of Frank Ocean, Miguel, The Weeknd and Michael Jackson due to his vocal style. Dornik’s second album “Limboland” was released in 2020, showcasing a more expansive sound with a guest list of collaborators including Gavin Turek, Phonte, Skripture and Taylor Graves. Since then, he’s released a string of singles including 2021’s Make It Right, with new music on the way.
Director of Anara Publishing, Deborah Smith, said of the signing “I’ve actually been a fan of Dornik’s for a long time after seeing him perform with Jessie Ware around 10 years ago. It’s been such a dream to start working with him and I’m very excited about our journey together!”
Dornik adds “A friend of mine is also on the Anara roster, and they spoke very highly of them. I also noticed that their roster is extremely diverse with a mixture of different genres and backgrounds. This was very attractive to me and I look forward to working with Anara!”
