We are thrilled to announce that Anara Publishing has recently welcomed Dropped Out to its esteemed roster of artists.
25-year-old multi-genre producer and artist Rishi Thakker a.k.a Dropped Out is known for his lush chords, groovy baselines, airy soundscapes and tight mixes. As one of the most exciting producers in the independent music scene in India, Dropped Out is a long-time collaborator of artists such as Yashraj, bebhumika, Manïn, The Rish and Kamakshi Khanna. Over the years, he has been behind hits like “Dhundhala”, “Hausla” and “Keh Do Na”, amassing over 1.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Having already had syncs within Netflix’s Class and within projects for the illustrious UEFA Champions League, his signing to Anara Publishing looks to take Dropped Out to the next level as they represent his catalogue for publishing administration and sync licencing worldwide.
Rishi said of the signing “A big part of growing as a musician is taking charge of all aspects of the business and having Anara on board to help me navigate the world of publishing makes things a lot easier. It just felt like the right choice given they have a global team and a global roster which aligns very well with the overall vision for my music. I’m very excited about collaborating with other songwriters/producers and also working on sync projects as creating music for a visual piece is a really fun process that I always enjoy.”
Deborah Smith, Director of Anara Publishing added “We’re so happy to have Rishi onboard as he’s someone we’ve admired for a long time. He’s of the most talented producers to come out of India in recent times, so I’m very excited to work on projects for him in new markets so we can show the world his full potential”.
