We’re delighted that Pune based singer-songwriter Piyush Bhisekar has joined the Anara Publishing roster. With his dreamy indie pop sound, Piyush strives to create honest, raw and nostalgic music.
His debut EP “Hai Bharosa” was released in 2018 and has amassed over 4 million streams on Spotify since it’s release. A follow up single “Sabr” was released in the 2020 lockdown, with a subsequent sold-out DIY tour in 2021 once things opened up again in which he performed in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Jaipur and Chandigarh.
Piyush has hit the ground running upon signing to Anara, taking part in our most recent online songwriting camp in which we collaborated with a well-known Indian recording artist and playback singer. As an outcome of the camp, Piyush’s track which he worked on with fellow new signing Saachi, has been selected by the artist so watch this space for its release!
On signing to the Anara roster, Piyush said “I was researching about Publishing rights and sync opportunities and I came across Anara Publishing in the same process. I wanted to level up in my career and talking to the team made me curious and excited about the Publishing and sync scene in general. The communication has been very smooth and the team (Deepa and Deborah) has been very prompt to any doubts and questions I have had so far. I’m very happy and excited to join the roaster of amazing artists from India and abroad. I look forward to this fruitful association. Hai Bharosa 🌸”
Deepa Seshadri, head of Business Development, India for Anara Publishing added “We go through every submission we get via our website and when Piyush reached out to us with his music, we all loved it! He understood the essence of blending lyrics and composition and was also versatile in his music. Within a few days we connected with him and offered him a contract. He’s been with us a few weeks now and he’s already shown great potential. I think he was the missing piece in our Indian roster and I’m happy to have him aboard.”
