We’re delighted to announce that the American indie rock/folk outfit The Penniless Wild is the latest addition to the Anara Publishing roster.
The Penniless Wild is a five-piece originating from Hartford, Connecticut. Their style appeals to the fans of Kings of Leon, The Avett Brothers or KALEO. They combine indie folk vibes with the sound inspired by the rock’n’roll classics, which makes their music so unique. Their mellow sound filled with devotion will give you the feeling of warmth but will also make you reflect on your life.
The band’s main lyricist, Carson Millican touches the topics of the past heartbreak and emotional charge caused by unrequited feelings. His emotional lyrics accompanied by his raspy, passionate vocals create an unprecedented atmosphere of nostalgia and longing.
A clear predominance of guitar solos complemented by the rhythmic drum sound can be heard in The Penniless Wild tracks. Along with that, the band manage to perfectly capture the heartfelt mood with their folky vocal harmonies and simple sound that builds amazingly throughout the song.
After the success of their first EP “Cardboard Sheets”, The Penniless Wild have just released three singles Seat Back, Spin and Flesh and are working on more new music for their fans.
